We were up early today and got a good start on our drive to Arizona. Before leaving Reedsville we shut down and closed up the mothership; while we are gone our good friends Bill and Carrie will look after it for us, they reside at Rainbows End for the summer and have a winter home in Casa Grande, Arizona only a few miles from us.
We were on the road before 0730 heading south on I-43. Near Beloit we changed to I-39 which took us to I-55 at Bloomington, in St. Louis we waited in line for I-44 west. Diva KoKo is less than satisfied with the rent-a-truck ride as it doesn't have a couch with a window view for her to rest on while we drive her. It was a long day for all of us but we put over 700 miles behind us, we will spend the night in Mt. Vernon, MO just east of Joplin.
In Milwaukee I-43 was pretty barren this morning.
Diva KoKo hid under the seat and tried to ignore us this morning.
Is this where I register my complaint?
John manned the helm for all 700 miles today.
We had a good look at the Gateway Arch…
while we waited in line for our turn onto I-44.
The Ogre finally joined us on top of the bridge.

700 miles. That's a really long way in one day. Can't even remember the last time I did that. Be safe out there.
Poor KoKo, our pets do develop their routines, don't they! Safe travels guys.
That is one long drive you are making. Good luck with the closing and moving all the stuff in when you get there.
