When It Rains There Are Waterfalls.

It was raining yesterday and we had settled in for a day off when there was a knock on our door, before we could answer the door it opened and brother Jim stuck his head inside and said “get your shoes on, it’s raining”. Jim wanted to show us some of the waterfalls that appear when it rains, he said “let’s go before the rain stops”. The falls don’t last long after the rain stops falling.

 

We drove up Pot Ash Road and spotted these running and falling down the hills.

 

This one was falling but the wind dispersed it quickly.

 

The rain had stopped out on Pot Ash Road but the Slick Rock area looked dark so we headed up there.

 

The water looked neat running off the bare rock.

 

We only found one falls at Slick Rock but it was close to the road.

 

By then the sun was out and Jim wanted to get some yard work done so he dropped us off at the ship. Jim will be up in Aspen for a few days so we lost our tour guide but if the weather changes we will venture out with Paul and Mary tomorrow.
