Drive To Rawlings Wyoming.

Today we started our trip back to Wisconsin by driving 383 miles from Moab, Utah to Rawlings, Wyoming. We had a good day on the road, making one fuel stop in Colorado before turning north on Hwy 13 to Wyoming and I-80. Tomorrow we will continue eastbound on I-80 to knock off a few hundred more of the 1,000 miles will will travel on this road during the next week. If all goes as planed we will spend a couple days in Ogallala, Nebraska before continuing on.

The best scenery today was along Hwy 191 north of Moab.

From Hwy 191 it was eastbound on I-70.

Colorado welcomed us but we were just passing through.

The Colorado River is running high as are most rivers out here.

We made a fuel stop before turning north on Hwy13.

In Colorado Hwy 13 is hilly and twisty.

The road was narrow but smoother as we neared Wyoming.

We will be traveling I-80 for the next 1,000 miles.

We decided to rush this trip a little because we now have a confirmed closing date for the house in Arizona on July 14th, we want to spend some time in Wisconsin before making the trip to Arizona. We will not take the motorhome to Arizona in July, it will stay behind while we drive the CRV and a rented van filled with our stored property down to the new home. We will spend about a month in Arizona getting the house squared away before returning to Wisconsin to close out a busy summer.

Our plans for an east coast trip this fall will probably change as we may be anxious to get back to the house and spend some time there to be sure everything is up to par during the first year of our warranty period. In Arizona, the mothership will be stored in our community so it will be handy if we decide to spend a little time in it next winter.
