East Of The Mississippi.

We are back in the Dairy State tonight after driving 341 miles to Oakdale Wisconsin, we are about 40 miles east of the Mississippi River; we will spend the night here at the Oakdale KOA and move on to the east side of the State tomorrow. Today's journey went well and the subtle odor of cow sh%! here in the campground makes us feel at home.

We were up early this morning as thunderstorms moved through Sioux Falls at 6:00AM dropping about 2 inches of rain per hour. Water was running through the campground and some of the low spots flooded. The rain slowed to a sprinkle around 9:00AM so we started unhooking and packing for today’s move; we had left a message for the Glass Doctors to call us about fixing our windshield and on cue they called just before we were set to leave. They told us they could have a person at our site by 11:00AM so we decided to wait, the person arrived early and spent about an hour fixing the break and we were on the road before 11:30AM.

Last night KoKo was playing on the agility ramp in the Sioux Falls KOA dog run.

No agility run this morning after the rain.

No sun for our drive today.

The clouds were interesting at times.

The Super 8 in Fairmont Minnesota, we spent two days stranded there in January when I-90 was closed due to blowing snow. We were on our way to South Dakota to set up our residency.

The bluffs along the Mississippi near LaCrosse Wisconsin.

The river’s water level is very high right now.

Around the curve and across the bridge to Wisconsin.

These small farms look familiar.

Are we there yet? I want to play ball!

As soon as we got to our site it was game time.

It didn’t take long to wear her out.

Site #10 is ours tonight.
