Drive To Buffalo Wyoming.

Today was our last in a trio of drive, sleep, drive days; we traveled 233 miles to Buffalo Wyoming today where we will be staying three nights at Deer Park. We left Rawlins traveling north on US 287, we then continued north on State 220, which took us into Casper where we picked up I-25 for the 112 miles to Buffalo.

US 287 was a nice 2 lane road.

287 took us over the Continental Divide and through Muddy Gap to State Highway 220.

On State 220 we went past the Devil’s Gate Area; oddly, the road was rougher after passing this spot.

Lots of wide open spaces again today.

Steamboat Lake.

Looking down on Alcova Reservoir from 220.

Near Casper we crossed the North Platte River, the highway paralleled the river for a bit.

Casper, Wyoming.

KoKo is always pretty quiet on moving days.

Northbound on I-25 from Casper to Buffalo.

Deer Park seems like a nice place, it’s near the I-25 and I-90 intersection but is far enough from both roads that it is quiet here. We got set up and John washed three days of gizzard goo off the windshield; KoKo has a pretty good yard to play ball in so she should be happy and tired (we hope).

We are in site 105 at Deer Park.

Arlene wanted to know the difference between the Regular and King Size sites; our site is at least 70 feet long with this distance between sites.

Regular sites are a little shorter with less space between sites but most are shaded.

We will be here through the weekend so tomorrow we will try to get out and see some sights in the Bighorn National Forest. At the moment we are heading out to the nightly ice cream social here at Deer Park.

KoKo is taking a rest in Bosco's favorite spot! Every couch we've had gets an indentation on that top cushion from him. KoKo is a cutie!
