Travel Day to Sacramento.

Today we left Park Sierra at Coarsegold and drove 180 miles north to Sacramento, we will be staying at the Capitol West RV & MH Park. We had coordinated this stop to meet Paul and Mary (aka Boris and Natasha), we have been following their blog for some time and were happy to finally meet in person. This evening we sat outside with them and had an enjoyable talk, tomorrow the four of us are going to have lunch with Gypsy who is another friend that we have not met but we have followed her blog so it will also be nice to meet in person.

Our site (lucky 13), at Capitol West. You can tell we call Wisconsin home as our dog sits under the motorhome (the porch is too low).

We received a message about our blog not being updated for several days, the truth is we didn’t have a lot to post. As some know the only sport that John follows is motorsports and it  was a big weekend for watching so we sat back and relaxed while he watched (in order), the World of Outlaws at Charlotte, the Indy 500, the Coke 600, the Turkish Grand Prix and the Rolex Sports Cars at Lime Rock Park; good thing the NHRA had the weekend off or he might have had an OD. We did find time to do our regular shopping and cleaning but otherwise we enjoyed Park Sierra and the weather.

Our first impression of Park Sierra was not the best but it did prove to be a nice park with friendly people so it will go on our list of places we would visit again. The word that best describes the park is relaxing, it is quiet and even over the holiday weekend did not fill up with “campers” , kids. smoky fires and noise. We enjoyed walking the hills inside the park and the trails surrounding it. We would not sign up for a permanent site at this point but would return when in the area.
