Travel Day – Borrego Springs CA

Today we traveled 90 miles from North Palm Springs to Borrego Springs California; we will be spending a week at the Leapin’ Lizard RV Ranch.  The drive was uneventful, we took I-10 East back to Indio and then Hwy 86 south along the Salton Sea to Hwy 78 where we traveled west to Ocotillo Wells (where we are actually located).

There were a lot of RVs parked on BLM land along Hwy 78 , this area is open for the use of off road vehicles and there were quite a few out there including ultra light aircraft that were flying. Leapin’ Lizard has some strict rules for off road vehicles inside the park so there were only one or two off road vehicles that we saw here in the park and they were covered; the park was quiet and the people friendly.

Before we left Two Springs RV Resort we talked with their sales person who understood that at this time we were not ready to buy a lot and stay put. We had a few questions about their definition of ownership, how taxes are paid and what type of improvements you can make to the lot; he answered our questions but we are not sure this would be something we would look at when it is time to slow down.
