Palm Springs

Today was another travel day, we drove from Quartzsite Arizona to Palm Springs California where we will be staying at the Two Springs RV Resort for one week. We made a fuel stop prior to entering California, this was our first fuel stop since January 28th so our February fuel budget should look good; our mileage is slowly improving as we travel west.

We drove 145 miles gaining an hour as we traveled so we arrived at 11:45AM local time. The afternoon was spent setting up and washing windows before we hung our Sun Shades. John didn’t eat lunch and really noticed the hour time change when he was tired and ready for supper at 4:00PM so he took KoKo out for a little ball time.

Our plan is to visit Joshua Tree National Park and see some of the other local sites using Two Springs as our home base. Two Springs appears very nice, we have agreed to take a tour and listen to a sales pitch to purchase a lot in exchange for a reduced fee to stay here; hey it’s better than camp Wal Mart.

We stayed at Two Springs Resort in fall of 2008. Those wind machines across the street are there for a very good reason. We did the tour and heard the sales pitch, too. It was not high pressure at all. The winds got sooooooo bad when we were there, we left early. Hope your experience will be better than ours.
