The duplex was cleaned out and up on schedule so we spent Tuesday night at a hotel in Chilton Wisconsin. We had an early dinner with Sandy’s brothers and sister-in-law; we then went to say goodbye (for now), to Sandy’s step-mother and father who is going strong at 87 and didn’t have time to meet us at the restaurant. After all the planning, saving, waiting and hoping the time has finally come to begin our fulltime RV life.
John puts South Dakota plates on the mothership,
KoKo says goodbye and plays ball with Sandy’s father and Micke.
We began our adventure yesterday with a long drive to Sikeston Missouri (606 miles), where we spent the night at Hinton RV Park; they parked us in a site where the water pipe wasn’t frozen but we didn’t feel like de-winterizing the mothership so we used the bathhouse. Do to the long day we had time to clean up, have a late dinner and get some sleep; this morning we disposed of our winter boots and set out for warmer weather.
Today we drove 307 miles to Benton, Arkansas; we will spend a few days at J.B.’s RV Park while we tour the Little Rock and Hot Springs area. The shorter drive got us here before 3:00 PM which gave us some daylight to set up and take a short walk; KoKo was able to chase the ball which is her favorite activity; this gave us some peace tonight as she is sound asleep.
